Top 5 Medical Apps Performance in Africa Q4 2023

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top five medical apps in Africa experienced diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

My NHIF saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 10.3K at the beginning of the quarter and fluctuating slightly before ending the quarter at approximately 9.3K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, beginning at 55K in late September and closing the quarter at 54.5K.

Altibbi demonstrated a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 8.4K in mid-December. Active users also climbed steadily, from 33.7K at the start of the quarter to a high of nearly 40K by mid-December before slightly dropping to 38.1K at the end of the quarter.

Blood Pressure Notes had a unique download trend, with a significant spike to 41.6K in the week of October 23, followed by a sharp decline to negligible numbers in the subsequent weeks.

Le Manuel MSD Professionnel exhibited a stable download trend with notable peaks. Weekly downloads peaked at 7.6K in late November. Active users remained consistent, hovering around 2.9K to 3K throughout the quarter.

My Calendar - Period Tracker showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting from $325 and reaching $525 by the end of November. Downloads also surged, particularly in early December, peaking at 9.7K. Active users showed a positive trend, starting at 99.5K and reaching 107.9K by mid-December before slightly decreasing to 99.5K at the quarter's end.
